Food can help your child thrive…
WHY IT MATTERS
-
GUT HEALTH & the brain
Our immune system, hormonal regulation, metabolism and even broader mental health are all influenced by the health of our gut microbiome.
Our gut microbes need fibre from a diversity of plants to produce signalling compounds (short chain fatty acids) that cross the blood brain barrier with a profound effect on far more than just digestion.
I can share easy child-friendly ways to boost that fibre!
-
ATTENTION, FOCUS & MOOD
Fuelling children adequately can boost their ability to learn.
Providing nutrients the developing brain needs, stabilising their energy supply and promoting restful sleep with good food choices can go a long way when managing problems with focus and attention.
For challenges with mood, attention and focus, intentional eating can be a life-long tool to help your child perform at their best.

THE FUTURE STARTS NOW
Long-term health is built from daily habits over years and decades. The aim is to start your child on a healthy path… but no one expects perfection!
My advice is firmly grounded in reality. I aim to gradually shift food habits without sweating the small stuff.
Spotting beneficial nutrients in foods they already eat, taking an 80:20 approach and asking yourself ‘instead of what?’ can help you make better choices to gradually shift their diet in a healthier direction.
