I am a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with a special interest in child nutrition, picky eating and nutrition to maximise focus and attention.
I came to my nutrition education late, driven by my own health journey, by which time the world had already left its mark on my young children’s diets.
The basics of good nutrition are not especially complex, but the reality of nourishing ourselves and children is complicated by so many factors.
As I studied for my MSc in Applied Human Nutrition and worked to improve my children’s diets (in ways they would accept), other parents were sharing their challenges and asking my advice on a daily basis. I realised how much stress being the ‘food parent’ was adding to already overwhelmed parents and how sorely judgement-free nutritional support is needed.
To support my family I have delved deeper into how nutrition can support ADHD brains, helping to improve sleep, attention and focus!
